New laws have been introduced in the ACT for the management of asbestos in non-residential buildings. These laws came into effect on 7 September 2007. They affect you if you have control of a building and/or make decisions about the management and maintenance of a building, for example as an owner, occupier or property manager.

The date by which you must comply with these laws varies depending on what type of building it is. The first compliance date is on 1 September 2008 for multi-storey buildings. Find out more >
