House Construction Dates

When undertaking repairs and renovations, the first step is to identify whether your house has materials that contains asbestos.

If your house was built before 1985, there's a very high chance that it contains asbestos. While there will be exceptions to this rule, the general date of construction for most homes in each of Canberra's suburbs is known.
